WiFi QR code generator

One scan joins your network — no typing 24-character passwords. Generated entirely in your browser (your password never leaves this page), truly static, and physically unable to expire.

Frequently asked questions

Does a WiFi QR code expire?

Not this one. The network name and password are encoded directly in the pattern — there is no server, no account and no trial involved. It works until you change your WiFi password. Services that made your old codes 'expire' were silently routing them through a paid redirect; PermaQR static codes have nothing to route through.

Which security type should I pick for WPA3?

Pick the normal WPA/WPA2/WPA3 option. The WiFi QR standard predates WPA3, and phones expect T:WPA in the encoded string even for WPA3 networks — PermaQR writes exactly that, which is why our codes join WPA3 networks that other generators' codes fail on.

Does it work on both iPhone and Android?

Yes. iOS 11+ and Android 10+ both join networks from the native camera app with no extra app installed. Older Android versions may need a QR app that supports WIFI: payloads.

Is my password uploaded anywhere?

No. The generator runs 100% in your browser — you can load this page, disconnect from the internet, and it still works. Open DevTools and watch the network tab: zero requests during generation.
