Simple, honest pricing
Static codes are free forever — they're generated in your browser, so there's nothing for us to charge for and nothing for us to switch off. You pay only for dynamic codes: editable destinations and scan analytics, with unlimited scans on every plan and the price shown at every step.
What's always free
This list is published so it can't quietly shrink. None of it is a trial, none of it carries a watermark, and none of it requires an account.
- Unlimited static codes, every payload type — URL, WiFi, vCard, email, SMS, location, event, EPC/GiroCode payments and more
- All styling: dot and eye shapes, gradients, logo embedding, frames, templates
- All exports: true-vector SVG, PNG up to 4096 px with cm+DPI sizing, vector PDF — no watermark
- Scan-Check verification on every design, and the /check tool for decoding any existing code
- Unlimited scans on every dynamic code, free or paid — no scan caps, ever
- One dynamic code, free forever — not a time-boxed trial; it never expires
The never-break pledge
Printed material is the whole point of a QR code, and reprinting always costs more than any subscription. So this is our written policy, not a marketing line — the full text lives at /pledge.
- 1 Static codes are generated in your browser. We could not break them if we wanted to — our servers are never involved.
- 2 If you cancel, your dynamic codes keep redirecting to their last destination, indefinitely. You get 30 days of full function first; after that you lose editing and new analytics — never the redirect.
- 3 Only codes violating our terms (phishing, malware) are ever disabled. "Stopped paying" and "violated the ToS" are different things, and we treat them differently.
- 4 If we ever shut down: 12 months' notice, redirects run through the entire period, you get a takeout file of every code and destination, and we'll 301-hand-off to your own domain on request.

Billing, honestly
What happens when I cancel?
You keep full function for 30 days. After that your dynamic codes are frozen: they keep redirecting to their last destination indefinitely, but editing and new analytics stop. Resubscribe any time and everything — including your history — comes back. Your printed material never stops working. Static codes are unaffected by definition.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes: 30 days, no questions asked, on any plan including lifetime. Email us and we refund. We'd rather lose a sale than argue with someone who changed their mind.
Can I actually pay monthly?
Yes — $5/month, cancel any time. Some competitors display a monthly price and then charge the full year at checkout; we show the exact amount you're paying at every step, and monthly means monthly.
Will the price change under me?
Never silently. You get a reminder email before every renewal showing the exact amount, and a price change would be announced there — with time to cancel — before it ever hit your card. The $79 lifetime price is a launch price and may rise for new buyers later; that never affects anyone who already bought.
What exactly does "lifetime" mean?
One payment of $79, Pro features forever — 25 dynamic codes, unlimited scans, full analytics. "Forever" is backed by the pledge above: even in the worst case where PermaQR shuts down, you get 12 months' notice, continued redirects throughout, and a takeout file of all your codes.
Do scans ever cost extra?
No. There are no scan caps and no overage charges on any tier — free or paid. A million scans costs us roughly 13 cents in infrastructure, so capping them would be pure artificial scarcity. Your busiest day is our favorite day.
What happens if PermaQR shuts down?
The sunset clause in our pledge: 12 months' public notice, the redirect service runs through the entire period, every customer gets a takeout file mapping each code to its destination, and we'll set up a 301 hand-off to your own domain on request. Static codes are untouched — they never depended on us in the first place.
How is VAT handled? Who charges my card?
Checkout runs through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle calculates and collects VAT or sales tax for your country automatically, issues the invoice, and appears on your card statement. The price you see at checkout is the final price for your region.
